Wherever possible, sheet metal components and assemblies are fabricated in a controlled shop environment, then transported to the vessel for installation. Building in the shop reduces time on the vessel during tight availability windows, simplifies inspection, and lowers the risk of rework because components can be verified before they reach the ship. The installation itself happens aboard the vessel.

Habitability covers the crew living and working spaces: bunks, lockers, tables, desks, and built-in furniture, along with the fitout of the surrounding spaces. On a ship, these are constructed and secured in place as part of the vessel structure rather than furnished after the fact. CMS handles both new habitability installations on new construction and the repair and restoration of existing spaces during modernization and repair availabilities.

CMS delivers outfitting alongside piping, structural, electrical, fabrication, and welding as part of a complete turnkey package, which means a customer can manage one relationship across every shipboard trade. CMS also takes on standalone outfitting scopes when that is what the work package calls for. In either case, CMS owns quality, safety, and schedule from fabrication through final sign-off.
